Interdisciplinary projects integrate knowledge and skills from various subject areas to tackle complex topics and real-world challenges. Rather than focusing on one subject, these projects encourage students to connect fields such as science, history, literature, and video productions to gain a more comprehensive understanding of a subject. Our high school’s mission emphasizes fostering meaningful interdisciplinary studies that nurture a growth mindset. CCPA’s 9th and 10th graders are collaborating on a “garden project” that involves building raised garden beds, creating restaurant websites, and participating in a Model UN conference. Meanwhile, 11th and 12th graders are preparing for a Mock Election Night, where they will apply what they’ve learned about becoming informed and educated voters. Their Mock Election Night is taking place on Monday, November 4th at 5:30 PM at our in-person school location at 3921 Sandstone Drive in El Dorado Hills, CA. Be sure to swing by and check out the students’ booths, campaign materials, and everything they’ve learned along the way. It’s a great chance to see their hard work in action and even cast your own vote in our mock election!
